Our School Vision for Reading for Pleasure

Our school is committed to fostering a culture where reading for pleasure is valued as a powerful driver of attainment, language development and equity. Reading for pleasure is at the heart of our school community, where rich texts are celebrated, conversations about books are shared, and pupils, staff and families come together as positive reading role models. Through daily stories, exciting books and regular opportunities to read for enjoyment, we nurture confident, curious readers who read widely and willingly, developing a lifelong love of reading that supports their learning now and in the future.
